You can’t live a successful life without communication!

Part of your success in life depends on how well you communicate, and understand the people around you. Everything around us is communicating- nature and our immediate surroundings, even our own bodies! For instance, air pollution results in global warming, and the rise in temperature is the earth communicating! Or when your phone starts to freeze…it is because it’s trying to tell you something!

Your life is made up of six elements, namely: family, friends, health, spirit, growth and finance. 

When you take a look at the status of everything I’ve mentioned above, and where you would like to see yourself actually be, you will begin to realize what your situation is trying to tell you. You can either try to understand what you have to do, or ignore what is revealed to you. There is always communication between people, situations, nature and material things. 

Human beings can co-exist because of our ability to communicate with one another. We exchange information that might be influenced by emotions and intellectual discovery. We communicate by speaking, writing, using body language and so much more. As a result that forms different kinds of communication but essentially communication is about sending and receiving a message. 
Communication involves two parties; the one who sends out the message and the one who receives the message. A break of communication will often result in a misunderstanding. There’s no point in talking if the next person doesn’t understand what you are trying to say. 

Real communication is when the next person receives the precise message you are trying to get through. If not, your communication is more likely to be just sound of waves to another person!

Communication is essential in our daily lives; it helps you express what you’re feeling, thinking, desire and comprehend. A mute world would be a chaotic world. It is imperative that you always surround yourself with people who allow you to express yourself because that will help you grow influential and confident. 

Develop the ability to understand all forms of communication: to read people’s behavioural patterns, actions, so you can gain understanding.

Try not to jump to conclusions when you aren’t sure you are receiving an intended message because everything we know is understood differently. 

Love, success, happiness is what you understand of it, the perception you create for yourself regardless of what it means in the dictionary. A meaning is created not by definition but perception because you have to see something before it can mean anything to you. Without being around people you will never realize how important people are. This includes family, friends, colleagues and people in your community. The less time you spend with them communicating the less significant they become to you. 

Reading books also helps develop your communication skills- the people who wrote them were trying to communicate some significance to their readers. 

What you see has an impact on what you think, and as a result it affects how you behave.

See and think positively, and what you say could help someone!

Why you should value people!

All the richest people in the world got rich because everything they did was for us- they found innovative ways to make our lives easier and to improve them. If you’re too focused on improving your own life, it may not turn out to be the billion dollar idea you want it to! Turn your focus on making someone else’s life better, so they can help you with yours. In doing so you shape someone’s mind and heart and how they see and feel about you. 

If people think and feel that you are destined for greatness, they will seek to help you reach that height by supporting you, recommending you, and giving you credit. People are your biggest asset in life, make new friends and always be visible and authentic. 

People create access because people are access.

People have the resources that you need. One thing I know rich people have, is access. You need access, and people create that. When you were looking for a job; someone had a vacancy for the position you were looking for & when you were busy thinking about your dream car; someone out there was already selling it. You need to know more people than you already know right now. I know you’ve been told not have more friends because it’s bad for you. But shit!!! Look at you now, you don’t have access because you don’t know anyone! Your old friends are the same as you, they think the same, live the same and do the same things you do. It’s time to surround yourself with people who aren’t doing the same things as you because  their mindset may be materially different from yours – and that is gold! 

Learn how to control your emotions

Most people go through life always being afraid to get hurt and therefore they distance themselves from people-  People they need, people with certain keys they may need. You need people in your life and more of them, they will probably betray you but who isn’t lying to you now? 

If you have kids, they probably lie to you, you lie to them, my parents used to lie to me, my friends and everyone close to me will probably tell me a lie at some point if they haven’t already. 

Having too many friends is not the problem, handling their lies, rejection and disappointments is the problem. 

People don’t know how to handle things they didn’t ask for. This is something we aren’t taught at school or by our parents. It is something you need to learn on your own because they will always be something pulling you and something pushing you and you can only let one of them take control of your life. If what is pulling you to go back in the past is stronger than what is pushing you to move on, you’re not going to press forward in life. 

Money follows people who are visible

There’s nothing wrong with loving attention, but you have to seek it to multiply your income. The more people who see what you do and how good you are at it, the more money they are willing to pay for your services. Musicians do it all the time! And you must do the same thing: get people to pay attention to you because you have something people need. 

If I have something you need, all you need to do is ask, and  I’ll probably make you pay for it or I might give it for free.. but you have to ask. 

I’m always asking people for things, asking for their commitment, asking for their money, asking for help because someone has to have what I’m looking for.

When you ask, ask big don’t ask for what you think is fair but ask for what you think you are worth, and then prove you are! I’m a risk taker, it doesn’t always pay off but I do it anyway. Get people whose attention you seek to focus on you and pay for it.

If you don’t like being the center of attention you will never hit your target because the center is the target. Be visible, do your best and keep doing it till you master it.

​The Psychology of Work!

Work is probably one of the most hated aspects of life. People often resent their duty to earn a living or become successful. At school I wasn’t taught to be wealthy, but to earn a standard of living and that was 14 years of repetition. None of what I was taught, I wanted to do, and now most people are trapped doing things they don’t love, like or even have genuine interest in, just for the sake of having a roof over their heads.
Work is viewed as hard – but so is everything. The only difference is there are some things you are willing to take hardship for and some not at all. Work is hard, but if you know what you’re working for, it is manageable. 

Both successful and average people have the same things in common: they work hard, are commitment and duty driven. But they do have a fundamental difference: ‘’reading.’’ 

We don’t feed ourselves with the fruitful information. Instead we acquire all the negative publicity we get from the media and news on a daily basis. If you put all those things together, what you see, hear and read about, you then realize why so many people have low self-esteem. When you know how good you are, you don’t need anyone’s approval, but if have any doubts about yourself, you begin to ask what others think before you act. Ideally, you need to act and then wait to hear what people will say.

Negativity is everywhere. We cannot avoid it! But we can’t let it drag us down either. I’m always looking for an opportunity in negative things because in a moment of confusion a man with a plan always wins. What you see can become your life, what you hear can become your thoughts and what you read can become your drive. 

You need to be looking at things you want, listening to what you need to learn and reading about growth. Because there’s one thing you cannot afford to lose in your life- period, and that is your self-esteem. You cannot stop believing in yourself, what you’re doing and how you’re going to make it work, because if you do, it is over for you. Your talents won’t matter, your abilities, skills and even connections. People who are negative have lost their self-esteem and that’s why they cannot believe in your dream because they couldn’t do it for their own.

What you feed yourself will not destroy what you’re not. But it can destroy what you could have become. Many people claim to be who they’re not instead of doing something to ensure they become who they want to be. 

Do not lose your purpose. The problem with people is we put down the number of tries we are going give, instead of trying something until it works. Failure is a sign that you’re trying and some people aren’t even trying. The minute you tell yourself that you’re doing great is when you are at your worst. This is because you no longer pay attention as opposed to when you aren’t doing well. We thrive at our worst because we pay attention to detail no matter how small it is. The most tragic thing is to think you’re okay in life. Eliminate your finite tries and focus on being ahead of the obstacle. 

Work is bad for most people, good for a bunch of people and great for a few. Why is that? People don’t ask for more because they don’t know their worth. 

Change your ‘’ask’’. Instead of asking for a salary increase,  ask for a promotion. Instead of asking for a piece, ask for the whole thing. It takes ten times the amount you thought to do well. Some people spend their time on work, more than any other thing in their lives and still remain unsuccessful because they don’t know how to ask. 

Some people are so negative you have to ask them ten times before they say, ‘yes.’ Don’t give up on the ask, keep asking till you get what you want.

If you don’t know your worth, you will never get what you want because people who get rewarded are those who know what they want. 

Don’t work on a formula of just enough, save enough, make enough and forget that when a crisis happens you won’t survive the situation. 

Always test your abilities, talents, skills and keep them working well for you so you can increase your ask.

7 steps to develop a successful mindset


There’s always something that makes us uneasy,whether it’s mental or physicaland it is usually something we are not used to, like picking up the phone and calling somebody, making eye contact during a conversation, doing an outdoor canvass, confronting an unsuspecting salesman or a promotions event.

But you have to deal with these things if you have any hope of getting better/improving.


Today we are going to be talking about how to strengthen your mental well-being.


Everything starts from within and everything you will ever need to improve yourself is already inside of you. All you need is to dig deep and find yourself. 


If you’re not mentally prepared you’re not going to act. The start of something is when you do something.


Below are the seven steps that can help you reach inside and find that strength and make yourself mentally strong so you can face anything you might come across. 


1st step 

Develop a purpose: life is full of dramatic and unexpected changes and if you’re all over the place you’ll never get anywhere in life. It’s important to know what you’re going to do before you do it and where you want to be in order to get there. That way you have a sense of direction and know what you need to prioritize. Set goals in all areas of your life; health, financial, social, spiritual etc. 



2nd step

Face your fears: get out of your comfort zone. Some things in life are daunting and scary when you think about doing them. So learn to differentiate between when you need to think first or when you need to just act. Challenges should not be something that you fear, but rather something you are enthusiastic about. You have to conquer your fears, get them behind you so that they have no chance of stopping you.


Sales perspective: Normally customers are afraid of making mistakes and that creates an objection. Sales people are afraid of rejection and that affects their ability to sell successfully. 


• (Create a sense of ) Urgency: customers usually have a budget. When you meet with a client you have to assume your product was not part of their budget. Therefore this will allow you to demonstrate not only the importance of what you’re selling but how critical it is for them to include it in their budget. 

• If the client doesn’t buy immediately, that affects the closing.

• If you do not gain their commitment, that affects the sale. 

• Dominate the conversation, bedazzle your client with not only your sales pitch but with your presence and your confidence.


3rd step

Commitment comes from within, you either want to do something or you don’t. When you’re committed to something you will always find a creative solution through anything. The most successful commitments come from those who are confident and single minded. If you’re passionate about something you’re bound to be committed to it. If not, you will easily give up.


You not only have to be passionate about your job, but also the people you work with because 38% of your day is spent at workBe committed to doing the best you can and work as well as you can with the people around you. Commit to your colleagues, your job and to yourself. Invest in your growth and your career, read books, master your trade, complete online courses, focus and train your mind, strive for complete proficiency in everything you do. Do not let procrastination and routine dampen your enthusiasm towards your commitments in life. Only you have the power to change yourself, only you have the power to commit to your own life. “Do today what others won’t, so that tomorrow you can do what others can’t.”



4th step

Discipline: you won’t always be motivated and you won’t always have that drive. But there are some essential and important tools to keep you disciplined:

• Values – value the things that are important to you. 

• Beliefs – how much do you believe in yourself?

• Faith – have faith that you are capable of any task.

• Courage – have the courage to start and stop procrastinating.

• Respect – have enough respect for yourself and your profession.

• Pride – have some pride in your work and in yourself.

Time spent cannot be acquired again –  when a day is gone it’s gone foreverBut when you’re disciplined you can create and manage time. With a certain level of discipline you can do things that normally take people ages to complete in a very quick timeFocus on these tools to keep you disciplined and practice-rehearse-drill. Discipline is a choice it’s not something you’re born with or something that you can buy. Discipline like all things come from within.


5th step

Focus: Control what you think about, start thinking about how to overcome obstacles instead of complaining about them. Look for solutions instead of looking for someone to blame. Look for opportunities in problems. Learn from your mistakes. Focus on the task instead of the problem. Steady your mind and remember your goals, focus on the outcome. Always play the ball, and not the man.    


6th step

Act: do everything you say you will do. Take action, don’t wait for someone else to do the task. Don’t just rely on other people, do what is necessary without procrastinating.


7th step:

Build endurance: don’t run or panic, face your fears, face the situation and rise above it. Believe that you can do it, believe in yourself, act immediatelydo not hesitate. The best time to do anything is right now. Learn to continue after the outcome, do not stagnate on the end result.

Practice builds endurance. Like a muscle, the more you train yourself, and your brain, the more it can accomplish. Endurance is built through regular and deliberate execution. And remember: Perfect practice makes perfect.


Competence is not an innate characteristic it is the results of years of working hard, discipline, faith, commitment, moral courage and focus that brings about the desired outcome.

 Everything you need to be successful in any aspect of your life is already within you, all you need to do is dig deep and reach inside of yourself and pull out the enthusiasm and commitment that is deep within all of us.

How to make a great sales rep out of an ordinary person!

Have you hired someone with no sales experience or someone who claimed to have sales experience but turned out not to have any at all? Well, not to worry! If you already have sales people onboard there’s no need to throw them overboard because you will just waste your money on recruitments. 

If it is a great salesperson you seek, stop searching because most of them are either making more money than you can offer or there busy running their own businesses. Great salespersons are not born but made, we were all born as closers but it was not something we could keep on the long run. Greatness is a form of skill, if you aren’t practicing and committing to getting better you will never be great. So, if your sales team is struggling to make enough contacts, generate leads, set appointments, do sales presentations, close and ask for referrals. You need to put them on a sales program, take them for training and create the best sales team for your business. 

Your sales team will never be as passionate as you are about your business. The least you can do is, make sure they have the following three qualities;

1. Positive attitude

A person’s attitude determines whether or not they can do what they promised they will do. Because a single negative thought can make anyone change their mind and distract you from enjoying your day. We do not always wake up feeling excited but it is upon us to make the day exciting. Recite a positive scripture, listen to positive/good music on your way to work, greet everyone on your to your desk and share that feeling with everyone. Most salespersons fail because they aren’t excited enough about the product/service they have to promote. And failing to create enough excitement during a sales presentation can causes a potential prospect to take his/her business elsewhere. Excitement is a form of creating urgency because when you get excited about something, you don’t want to miss out. The sales team in your company should always be excited about the product or service you offer every single day. And I promise you, they will always be sales generated every time even during a sales drought!

2. Be completely sold & Honest

Anything great is built on a solid foundation. Lies give you temporarily victory but honesty makes you live like a king. There’s a difference between a condition and an objection, and most salespersons don’t know the difference. Salespersons resort to lies when they are under pressure while the pressure should be on the clients/prospects. I was always pressured by my parents to do things I didn’t like because they believed it was right for me to do and so I did. If your sales reps don’t believe in your product or service they will always resort to lies instead of pressuring prospects to buy because it is the right thing to do. Make sure your sales reps are completely sold on your product or service. Clients are the judges of character, be honest in their presence and don’t be found guilty of doubting your own product or service!

3. Goal oriented

Your sales reps should always have daily, weekly and monthly written goals because statistics show that people with written goals have 90% chance of achieving them. They should also know that the money they seek comes from people who buy from them and not the company they work for. Without sales there’s no commission and without commission there’s no income generated for both the company and salesperson. You only start making money when you start making sales and to make sales you need people you can sell to. Their daily activity should always be more or equivalent to than of the previous day.
